Our Forest School ethos here at Broadhempston Village Primary School is to help all children gain self-awareness, confidence, self-esteem and social skills. We believe that everyone has a right to explore and investigate the natural world and spending time outside helps develop their holistic development. During our sessions children’s natural curiosity to learn is supported. All sessions are child led and meet the needs of all the children. They are given the freedom to explore and learn in a risk assessed area where they can take risks and make choices about their learning. We are hands on learners at Forest School and we aim for children to have fun, be engaged and feel a sense of success and achievement after each session.
