School Lunch Arrangements September 2019

School Meals September 2019
We would like to update you with information regarding arrangements for School Meals from September 2019.
Unfortunately our existing provider, Mel’s Country Kitchen has given notice and will not be supplying meals for us when we return to school in the Autumn.  We were very sorry to receive this news and would like to thank Mel Harvey for providing excellent school packed lunches for our children over the past few years and for her flexibility and reliability.  We will miss her.
We have however, been able to make arrangements for a new company to supply school meals for us next term. The name of this new provider is Fresha Foods.   Please visit their website for further details -   www.fresha.org.  You are able to download a menu from the website or collect one from school.  As you will see they will be offering an extensive menu selection and we are sure that we will be able to continue to provide healthy and nutritious meals for our children
If your child would like school meals next term, please complete and return this menu order form to school before Tuesday 23rd July. If we do not receive a completed form we will not be able to guarantee that your child will receive their preferred meal option during the first week of term. Meal orders will need to be made in advance and amendments made after Thursday, for the following week will not be accepted.  This will not apply to any unexpected absence or illness.  If your child is ill you will need to let us know before 9.30am in the morning to enable us to cancel the lunch order.
We will be able to make amendments to the menu for medical reasons, but will need to see medical  evidence of this beforehand.
The price of meals will remain at £2.70 and payment should be made through parent-pay in advance as at present.  All children in EYFS and KS1 will continue to receive meals via the Universal Infant Free School Meal arrangement.

If you feel that you are eligible to claim for free school meals please follow the following link to claim – http://www.devon.gov.uk/j4s-freeschoolmeals-promoflyer.pdf
Even if your child is eligible under the Universal Infant Free School Meals scheme it is still important to claim as our school will receive additional funding if your claim is accepted
We hope that this new arrangement will work well, if you have any queries please contact Mrs Carwithen in the school office.
Thank you for your support.
