School Meal Information and Menus

School Lunch

School lunches are provided from the kitchen at Landscove School and served to the children in the Village Hall.

The menu provides children with an excellent range of nutrients for their well being. The meals are cooked from scratch and are packed with healthy ingredients such as fruit, vegetables, wholegrains and pulses. Dishes such as bolognaise and pizza 's have a blended tomato sauce added which contains a whole host of healthy vegetables including peppers, courgettes and spinach. There are also hidden vegetables in some of our cakes, such as Lemon and Courgette cake and Beetroot Chocolate Brownie. Jacket potatoes with a choice of beans, tuna or cheese are available daily. Fresh fruit, wholemeal bread, salad, yoghurts and water are also available daily.

We are able to make minor amendments to the menu for medical reasons, but will need to see medical evidence of this beforehand.

School lunches will need to be paid for in advance and a minimum of a week's notice should be given if arrangements are to change. School lunches should be paid via parent pay. The cost of each meal is £2.60 Menu choices should also be made via parent pay. Meal orders will need to be made in advance and amendments made after Thursday, for the following week will not be accepted. This will not apply to any unexpected absence due to illness. If your child is ill you will need to let us know before 9.30am in the morning to enable us to cancel their lunch order.

All children in EYFS and KS1 receive meals via the Universal Infant Free School Meal arrangement.

If you feel that your may be eligible to claim for free school meals please see the information below.

Even if your child is in receipt of Universal Infant Free School Meals it is important to claim as our school will receive additional funding if your claim is accepted.
